Answer #1

ANSWER.

4) Calculation of amount(mg) medication will the patient received.

    Here

      Ordered dose = 0.5 mg/kg.

Weight of the patient = 50 pounds

Convert pound to kg for calculation

                  1 pound = 0.45 kg

      So

        Weight of the patient = 50 * 0.45

                                          = 22.5 kg.

Amount of medication will the patient with 22.5 kg receive = 0.5 * 22.5

                                                                                           = 11.25 mg.

5) Calculation of amount of medication will the patient received.

            Here

               Ordered dose = 20 mg/kg.

Weight of the patient = 46 pounds.

Convert pound to kg for calculation

                 1 pound = 0.45 kg.

        So

          Weight of the patient = 46 * 0.45

                                            = 20.7 kg.

Amount of medication will the patient with 20.7 kg receive = 20 * 20.7

                                                                                       = 414 mg.
