Pharmaceutical industries are provided regulations by FDA to market their products.It covers most of the prescription drugs ordered by a physician.The OTC drugs are one, which are the most unregulated promotional activity in the pharmaceutical industry.This is beneficial for a pharmaceutical company to gain financial profits than the health of the clients who use it.The most commonly advertised OTC drugs like cough syrup, painkillers, fever medicines,laxatives, etc., belongs to unregulated promotional activity. Client using this without medical advice or having any known health problems can be interacted leading to long term effects. Hence an unregulated promotional activity cannot be agreed to be in practice.
