Snorted cocaine refers to inhaling the drug by nose.

Smoke cocaine refers to use of the drug via oral cavity

Snorted cocaine Smoked cocaine
  • It reaches the heart via nasal passage through circulatory system, the heart pumps the impure contents for purification in lungs,the lungs after oxygenating the blood transfers it back to heart along with cocaine and from their it reaches vital organs
  • Can damage the nasal tissues
  • One time use can result in overdosing if having any health issues
  • It can cause sudden death if it reaches toxic level
  • If affects nose,lungs,heart,kidneys and brain
  • The rate of abuse is slower compared to smoked cocaine because It reaches the brain slwly
  • It is also called as crack cocaine
  • It an reach the brain very quickly from lungs when one smokes
  • It's effect lasts for 15 minutes and again forcing to use to again
  • Cocaine psychosis are common
  • Easy abuse is possible because it can reach the brain quickly and increasing its dependence
