1. MRSA - Methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus . It's is resistant to most of the antibiotics and is mostly found in healthcare facilities with patient who having been in long term care . Transmission is by contact . Healthcare workers are the main transmission agent . It is difficult to contain and easily spreads .

2. VRSA - vancomycin resistant staphylococcus aureus .

3. Reye syndrome is an acute encephalopathy due to fatty degenerative liver failure . Mainly affects the brain and liver .

#. Patients should be advised to during Antibiotic use:

I tell patients that if you don't take all of your antibiotics, it doesn't kill all the bacteria. The ones who survive are stronger and could make you sick again, only this time they're resistant to the antibiotic so they're harder to kill. The same thing happens if you take "leftover" antibiotics [which we all know they shouldn't have anyway] or insist on antibiotics for viral infections.

Major points :-

1. Finish all the prescribed amount of antibiotics

2. Take all medications at evenly spaced intervals

3. Take a missed dose as soon as remembered but not at the same time as the next dose.

4. Not share or save medications

5. Assess for infection and responses, not positive and adverse, to the medication.
