Answer: The role of community nurse in assisting individuals, families and the communities involves the care provided to them. The community nurse works within the community so as to bring out better healthcare preventive methods. The nurse provides advocacy, preventive methods as well as service planning.

Some of the challenges or the barriers the nurse need to overcome are:

  • There are sometimes cultural diversity so, the nurse need to provide cultural competence environment.
  • Lack of awareness leads to increase in the risk of the disease and sometimes it becomes difficult to teach or advocate people with different belief.
  • Communication barrier causes misunderstanding.
