Answer #1

Ans) a) Health is "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease" according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

b) The disease model of addiction describes an addiction as a disease with biological, neurological, genetic, and environmental sources of origin. The traditional medical model of disease requires only that an abnormal condition be present that causes discomfort, dysfunction, or distress to the individual afflicted.

- Wellness is a continual process toward optimal functioning through a dynamic balance among all aspects of an individual. We have adopted a holistic approach to wellness, as we believe wellness can only be determined by examining a person as a whole rather than one's individual parts.

c) health refers to the wellness of the individual. It not only refers to the physical well being of an individual but it also comprises the wellness of emotional, intellect, social, economical, spiritual and other areas of life.

- Culture is a tool that its members use to assure their survival and well-being, as well as provide meaning to llife.Conflict related to cultural beliefs within healthcare commonly arises during times of significant life change.
