Controlled substances schedule

1. Schedule 1 = drugs with no accepted medical use and high potential for abuse
   Eg. heroin, LSD, Mairjuana, Methaqualone

2. Schedule 2 = less potential of abuse than Schedule 1 drugs but abuse  causes seve psychological and physical dependence.

Eg. Cocaine , Methadone , Methamphetamine

3. Schedule 3 = these drugs have moderate to low physical and psychological dependence

Eg. Ketamine , Testosterone, Anabolic Steroids

4. Schedule 4 = drugs with low potential for abuse and dependence
Eg. Xanax , Soma , Valium

5. Schedule 5. = these drugs are generally used as antidiarrheal, antitusive and analgesic.
   Eg. Lomotil , Motofen and cough preparations having less than 200 miligram of codeine
