1, Cultural preference is important for a patient-nurse relationship. consider patient needs, and understanding of his disease condition, medication use, dose and duration, side effect, precautions, interaction, complications, etc.
2, -Use simple, short, phrase words
-Speak in a moderate voice
-Have good eye contact and smile on your face.
-Respect their language and give preference.
-Explain about medication with interpreter help.
-Use education material and equipment for easy understanding.
-Avoid long explanations and slang words through an interpreter to avoid misunderstanding.
3, Communication through an interpreter makes the patient comfortable to understand with their own language. It can be effective. Evaluate the patient understanding with interpreter help by asking simple questions regarding patient medication use, dosage, and followup.
