Answer #1

Wt of the child in kg =27/2.2

=12.27 kg

height in cm= 34 inch=86.36cm

BSA (m2) =√{ Ht (cm) X wt (kg)}/ 3600

                =√(86.36 X 12.27)/ 3600

                    = √1059.63/ 3600

                    =0.542 m2

Child’s dosage    =    Child’s BSA(in m2)   X   Adult dose / 1.7 m2

                                             = 0.542 X (50/1.7)

= 15.94 mg  will be the child’s dose having 27 lb wt & 34 inch height as measure
