21. What is stress and what causes it?

Answer - Stress is basically a kind of pressure, from biological point of view stress is a result of mental, emotional and physical tension. Stress is mainly caused by two factors i) External and ii) Internal

External Factors mainly includes:

1) Work / School- In both these section it is important for an individual to give the best shot or atleast perform up to the mark so that they are satisfied, but when that individual fails to do so he starts taking stress and start questioning his/her own abilities.

2) Family and Children- Both of these play a very vital role in a person's life. If an individual is doing a lot for his/her family and children but they are still not happy enough so this makes the person to stress a lot. Even if an individual is not able to fulfill the family's demand then the individual will be stressed.

3) Relationships- Now a days relationships play a very important role in an individual's life especially love relationships. These relationships also have a major impact on that individual's life. Like the heartbreaks or being cheated can shake up the individual's mental, physical and emotional state. This may lead to stress and even depression in many cases.

Internal Factors mainly includes:

1) Negativity- This is the main cause of many problems not just stress. If a person's mind is filled with negative thoughts then it becomes very difficult for that person to feel happy and healthy, that person's mind will be so much affected that he/she will always say negative and think negative about themselves as well as the people around them so indirectly this will affect the person's progress in life which will lead the person to stress.

2) Attitude- Attitude is something that can make or break a man, here also it is important to have a right attitude. The people who have the attitude like they can do everything or people who have the attitude like they can do nothing, are those people who are not ready to face the defeat or not willing to fight only and such people can get stressed up very easily.

3) Thoughts- These are something that are always present with an individual ,these are the things that determine the mentality of a person, if someone has thoughts that are filled with negativity or someone has thoughts that are very rigid and cant be changed such people can have the problem of stress

Then there are some events in a person's life which might cause stress like, death of a close one, marriage, divorce, injury, imprisonment, breakups, loss in business, miscarriage, losing of job, etc.

22. What are signs of depression?

Answer- Depression is basically a mood disorder that is a type of serious medical illness. There are various causes of depression for example death of someone really close, divorce, serious illness,or other personal problems.

Most probable signs of depression are as follows-

1) Always feeling sad- This is one of the major signs of depression because when a person is depressed he/she will always be sad .

2) Lack of interest in any kind of work. Lack of interest even in those things that the individual use to enjoy a lot could be a major sign of depression.

3) Anxiety is something which is most common in depression the individual under depression is prone to get panic attacks, he/she will become restless and their heart rate also increases.

4) Change in their sleeping habits like if a person is depressed then he/she will sleep for longer hours than their usual sleeping hours or even they wont sleep at all and this condition could lead to insomnia.

5) Always being irritated and frustrated, people suffering from depression can get irritated and frustrated very easily because their mind is completely disturbed.

6) Dietary changes is also a sign of depression because when a person is depressed he/she will eat a lot of unhealthy and junk food which will result in their weight gain or they wont feel hungry at all so they will not eat anything which will result in their weight loss.

7) Emotional status also help us to identify that the person is in depression or not and this is so because in depression it becomes hard for a person to control his/her emotions like anger, fear, sadness, etc and will explode out those emotions.

8) It is one of the major sign that help us to know that the individual is depressed or not and that sign is attempting suicide or asking for death because the individual thinks that this the only way that can take him/her out from this situation.
