Answer #1

The factors that contribute to blood circulation are:

  • Cardiac output: it is the measurement of the blood flow from the heart to the ventricles. As the cardiac output increases by means of increased heart rate,it increases the blood circulation.
  • Viscosity of the blood: viscosity is simply the resistance to flow of a fluid .the increase in viscosity of blood results in decrease in flow.
  • Volume of the blood:as blood volume decreases, blood flow and pressure also decreases. The condition of low blood volume is known as hypovolemia which is caused by excessive bleeding ,severe burns etc.
  • Compliance:it is the ability to expand according to the change in supply.the compliance of veins are more than arteries as they can hold more blood if there is any surge in the blood pressure or volume.
  • blood vessel length and diameter.: the increase in length will adversely affect the flow of blood.the longer the vessels ,the resistance will be higher and lower the flow.
