Answer: The symptoms a patient having a mild reaction to iodinated contrast media might experience are:

  1. nausea
  2. Vomiting
  3. Rashes on skin
  4. Itching for specific duration
  5. Flushing
  6. Headache.

As soon as the iodinated contrast media is injected in to the blood stream, the patient feels slight discomfort and mettalic taste on the tongue. These symptoms are mild and goes within few hours. But intake of excessive fluid can eliminate the side effects of the contrast media.
