Answer: Tort law includes all the cases where the harm is done intentionally. The success of the Tort law provides the civil cases where harm is done. So, in the healthcare due to medical errors as well as malpractice causes harm to the patient's health. So, the law prevents this kind of act in the healthcare and eliminate the risk of medical errors and hence increases the quality of healthcare.

Medical malpractice law provides the compensation to the patients who are given or provided low quality of care, due to medical errors there is harm to the patient or due to negligence of the healthcare providers. The medical malpractice low decreases the medical errors by imposing the punishment on the healthcare providers and providing reimbursement to the patient.

The quality of care that is being provided to the patient reduces the readmission rates as well as make patients healthy and recover soon. But low quality of health care provided to the patient which also includes medical errors, malpractice or negligence causes long term harm to the patients. This causes patient to stay in the hospital for longer period of time which increases the stay and healthcare cost.
