1. Martha E. Rogers

Science of unitary human beings; energy fields, openness, pattern, and organization; nurse promotes synchronicity between human beings and their universe or environment.

2. Sister Callista Roy

(1976-1991) Stree adaptation model. She sees "persons and the earth as one, and they are God and of God" Individuals respond to stimuli in one of four modes. 1)Basic physiologic mode,through body systems. 2)Self concept mode, as a physical and a personal self. 3)Role function mode, through one's role in society. 4)Interdependence mode,through one's relationships with significant others and support systems.

1. International Council of Nurses (ICN)-

- It was founded in 1899 and was the first international organization for health care professionals. It is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.The organization's goals are to bring nurses' organizations together in a worldwide body, to advance the socio-economic status of nurses and the profession of nursing worldwide, and to influence global and domestic health policy. Membership is limited to one nursing organization per nation. Recent conferences have covered topics such as international nurse migration issues, regulation of the profession of nurses, rural nursing, leadership issues, advance practice issues, and workplace violence.

2. American Nurses Association (ANA)-

- is a professional organization to advance and protect the profession of nursing. It started in 1896 as the Nurses Associated Alumnae and was renamed the American Nurses Association in 1911.The Association is a professional organization representing registered nurses (RNs) in the United States through its 54 constituent member associations.[4] The ANA is involved in establishing standards of nursing practice, promoting the rights of nurses in the workplace, advancing the economic and general welfare of nurses.They are also responsible for creating a Code of Ethics for nurses.

3. National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)-

-is a non-profit organization with the purpose of coordinating the regulatory powers of the various state and territorial boards of nursing in the United States. The NCSBN is the entity responsible for developing the two licensure examinations for nurses: the NCLEX-RN and the NCLEX-PN.The NCSBN is headquartered at Chicago, Illinois.

#. System Theory is:

-A whole that functions as a whole by virtue of the interaction of its parts

-An entity that is greater than the sum of its parts because it consists of: parts, the way parts interact together, and the qualities that emerge from these relationships

-Anything physical, biological, psychological, sociological or symbolic

-An entity that can be static, mechanical, mechanically self-regulating or interactive with the environment

-An entity with a hierarchy to organize its complexity

-Interdisciplinary field of science and the study of the nature of complex systems in nature, society, and science

-Framework that helps us understand how things interact.

#. Nurse practice act :-

The NPA gives authority to regulate the practice of nursing and the enforcement of law to an administrative agency or BON that is charged with maintaining the balance between the rights of the nurse to practice nursing and the responsibility to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of its citizens.
