Answer #1

ANSWER.

12) Volume(ml) of campster nurse will add to the 50 ml minibag.

             Formula = Desired dose/Dose in hand * Quantity.

        Here

             Desired dose(D) = 40 mg.

             Dose in hand (H) = 20 mg.

                  Quantity(Q) = 1 ml.

    As per above formula

           Volume(ml) of drug add to the 50 ml minibag = D/H * Q

                                                                        = 40/20 * 1

                                                                        = 2 ml.

13) Calculation of flow rate in ml/hr.

              Formula = Total volume(ml) /Time(hr).

       Here

            Volume(ml) = 50 ml.

             Time(hr) = 1 hr.

     As per above formula

            Flow rate(ml/hr) = 50/1

                                       = 50 ml/hr.
