Critical thinking is very important in all the field. It is the thinking where a person is needed to analyse the situation and act according to it whenever necessary. Also it is very important in nursing field because they are used inorder to make the priorities and make key decision which will help to save the lives of the people. It is not only important for the working nurses, but also for the student nurses. Leading everyday life and situation with logic and evaluating the data, nurses tend to make themselves better and provide better care to the patients. It will help them to decide on what is the most important care needed for the patient and to be given to the patient at the time of emergency. The nurse should act fast according to her thinking about the situation at the required time.
It is always used while providing nursing care because a nurse should be able to make out the important care required and the care plan should be formulated according to the need of the patient or to the risk factors. A nurse should always be able to apply her critical thinking while formulating the daily care for the patient. She should understand the patient's care priority and the patient's needs. Also during the time of emergency she should think critically.
