Answer #1

1. We have calculated dose in kg So, lets converted pound to kg

1 pound = 0.454 kg

75 pound ( 75 x 0.454 34.05 kg) Round figure is 34kg

2. Recommended daily therapeutic dose is 20-40 mg/kg/day

20mg x 34kg680mg/day to 40mg x 34kg= 1360mg /day

The daily safe therapeutic dose should range from 680mg to 1360 mg per day

3. Equal distribution per dose

680 3226.66mg (230 mg) to 1360 3 453.33 mg (450mg)

Ans.  single dose will be range from 230mg to 450mg

4. Rate of infusion

Above mention rate should be 500ml in 1.5 hr(90 minutes)

so rate in the infusion device will be 333ml per hr

500ml90min 5.5555ml in 1 minute

5.5555ml x 60min-333.33ml
