1. Cholesterol is essential for the cell membrane integrity, in the production of the hormones like testosterone, estradiol and also act as transporter of the fat.

Hence all the above mentioned options are correct.

2. The diet containing animal products and genetic factors both are contributing factors to raise the LDL levels in the blood, as animal products contain high saturated and trans fats, thus increase the LDL level in the blood , which is harmful. At the same time it is also increased by the genetic factors.

Hence a & b both are correct.

Hence option E is correct.
