Answer: Strep throat is caused by the bacteria as it is a bacterial infection. It is important to treat the strep throat because it may cause severe illness and diseased condition. Streptococcus pyogenes is the bacteria that lives in the nose and throat which may travel to other body parts if not treated.

The public health programs provides community screening to prevent the transmission of the bacteria. It also provides specific knowledge and creates awareness programs to eliminate the risk of disease.
