Depression is a mental disorder. Since the client is going through a major depressive disorder due to loss of her child, there are chances of the client inflicting harm to herself since there is a intense feelings of sadness and guilt for extended periods of time which is a very common sign seen among major depressive patients. Inflicting harm to oneself is mostly done during midnight or early mornings.

These patients should be treated tricyclic anti-depressants and psychotherapy can help the client to cope with the stressful situation and solve problems,  develop positive qualities about her self and increase your self-esteem
