Nursing informatics is the specialty that integrates nursing science with technology  to identify, define, manage, and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in nursing practice.

A dataset is a structured collection of data generally associated with a specific  body of work. So basically it is just a data arranged in rows and columns of a table.
A database is a software or hardware for organized collection of data . It consists of multiple datasets which is accessed electronically from a computer system for updating or manipulating.
