Proc means :- it produces descriptive statistics ( mean , standard deviation , maximum, minimum . Etc ) for numeric variables in data set.

Proc dataset :- this is dataset management tool. Proc datasets modifies the data set's attributes such as variable name, format , informat and label. It can not be used to change a variable's length or data type

Proc contents :- it describes the structure of data sets rather than data values.

Proc freq:- it helps to summarize the categorical variables. It calculates count or frequency and cumulative frequency of categories of categorical variables.

It also produces bar chart and tests of association between categorical variables.
