Definition :medical tourism refer to people traveling abroad to obtain medical treatment.in the past, this usually referred to those who traveled from less developed countries to measure medical centers in highly developed countries for treatment unavailable at home.

Health tourism is a wider term for travel that focuses on medical treatment and the use of health care services. It covers a wide field of health oriented, tourism, ranging from preventing and health conductive treatment to rehabilitational and curative forms of travel.

Ethical issues specific to medical tourism :

Distributive justice, health care resources allocation, experimental treatments and organ transplant where the most common ethical issues of the medical tourism in Africa. The dearth of robust engagement of MT and health care ethics, as identified through this review, calls for more rigorous reserch on this subject.
