Asthma is the respiratory condition that is characterized by excessive difficulty in breathing and respiratory distress due to trigger of the mechanism through allergens.
Pathophisiology of asthma-
Broncho-constriction is most common cause of asthma, this condition is considered through the airway constriction and narrowing and leads to reduced airflow. this happens in response to variety of allergens or stimuli and the airway is narrowed down through smooth muscle contraction. This condition is further enhanced through airway edema, this involves edema formation, mucus hypertension and inflammation. Another process happening here is airway hyper-responsiveness, here the muscles responses in hyper-active way towards the allergens and some major stimuli causing asthma. Airway remodeling occurs at later stage where the structure of muscles and cellular structure changes that cause permanent deformation.
