Overweight is more precise and designates a state between normal weight and obesity.The National Institutes of Health define overweight in terms of BMI(the body mass index) which is a person's weight in kilogram(Kg) divided by their height in Meyers(m) squared.
Obesity is a term used to describe excess body fat.A person with a BMI(the body mass index) over 30 is classified as being obese.
During 17th to18th century,people strictly maintained their lifestyle but at the ending of 18th century,lazyness or less doing physical or hard work may increased height and weight both in developed country.During 20th century as population reached their genetic potential for height,weight began increasing much more than height result in obesity.
According to the research,over weight and obesity among the people seen is due to changing of their lifestyle.Now people like to eat fast food like burger, dosa etc, not interested in eating chapatis,dal ,barley etc.Due to that they are highly suffered from nutrition deficiency along with obesity and overweight of body.It is also seen that in a modern people having no time for their body fitness and physical activity is decreased among the people and due to that whatever he/she eat never be used in the form of energy and stored in the form of fat and the person started to be obese.
Overweight and obesity not only bring fatness but also bring a lot of disease problem in our body like heart problem,blocking of artery problem, diabetes problem etc.
Overweight and Obesity can be decreased only if we bring a change in lifestyle.If we doing physical exercise regularly,eating home made food doesn't eat fast food etc.
