Pyramidal tracts are the paired white matter structures of medulla oblongata in the brain that contain motor fibers of the corticospinal and corticobulbar tracts. The motor fibers of the two pyramids cross over from the brain to the medulla oblongata and spinal cord. These fibers make up the pyramidal tract. Decussation of the pyramids is the crossing over of left and right corticospinal tract Thus, the pyramidal decussation marks the border between the spinal cord and the medulla oblongata. Because of this decussation, any lesion above the crossing, that is towards cerebrum or at any level above the pyramids of the medulla will affect the side of the body opposite the site of the lesion. By contrast, a lesion below the decussation impairs voluntary movement on the same, or ipsilateral, side.
Define the pain tracts we learned in class. Discuss decussation as well as drop off points in the neuroaxis.
we have studied in class are involved. In or our purposes, assume that only the four pathways we have studied in class are invol al life, things would not be this simple for a couple of reasons. The injuries rarely wou cact hemisections and secondly other tracts convey some of the sensations assigned to the two acts we studied, and motor control is more than just pyramidal tract function, but also involves -rebellar activity and the "extrapyramidal" tracts that we...

Geographically, a county consists of multiple census tracts. In order to estimate the median household income of the Howard County, MD, a researcher randomly selected several census tracts and collected the median household income of these tracts which are: $209563, $174250, $177547, $176194, $160190, $100506, $83750, $136346, $149537. Do the following questions by hand. Give the best estimation of the mean and the variance of the median household income in the whole Howard County. Calculate the 99% and 95% confidence...

What is the molecular geometry of AsCl3? T-shaped tetrahedral trigonal planar trigonal pyramidal
The Census Bureau groups data on households into census tracts, where each census tract has a total population of about 4,000 residents. Census tracts should be divided so that the households in the census tracts share certain characteristics, such as economic status. Even though most tracts are around 4,000 residents, there is some variability, which is the focus of this lab. In practice, census tracts usually have a population between 1,200 and 8,000 people. I just need help with the...
