1. The absorption of the drug through the skin occurs through the process known as passive diffusion. The absorption occurs between the cells Or through sweat Pores and hair follicles.

Drugs that are administered transdermally are:-

. Nicotine

. Contraceptive medication

. Fentanyl (opioid)

2. Dermatitis is a term used to describe the inflammation of the skin.

Types of dermatitis are:-

. Atopic dermatitis:- This rash occurs where the skin flexes i.e inside the elbows, behind the Knees and the front of neck.

.Contact dermatitis:- This rash occurs on the areas where the skin come in contact with substances like poison, ivy, soap And essential oils that cause allergic reactions.

. Seborrheic dermatitis:- It occurs on the oily areas of the body Like face, upper chest and back.

3. Male pattern baldness is a common type of hair loss in men.

Causes:-

It is related to the genes and male sex hormones. Baldness occurs when the hair follicle shrinks over time, resulting in shorter and finer hair. Eventually, the follicle does not grow new hair.

Symptoms:-

It begins at the hairline. The hairline gradually moves backward and forms an "M" shape. Eventually the hair becomes finer, shorter, and thinner, and creates a U-shaped pattern of hair around the sides of the head.

Treatment:-

Medicines that treat male pattern baldness include:

  • Minoxidil (Rogaine), a solution that is applied directly to the scalp to stimulate the hair follicles.
  • Finasteride (Propecia, Proscar), a pill that interferes with the production of a highly active form of testosterone that is linked to baldness.
  • Hair transplant is also an option to cure baldness.
