Previous studies claimed that the population mean DailyReadTime among subjects is 145 minutes, with a population standard deviation of 25 minutes. Based on the data, conduct a hypothesis test BY HAND (with a 1% significance level) to see if there is evidence that the population mean DailyReadTime is greater than 145 minutes. Sample size is 150.

Write down your null and alternative hypotheses. Be sure to use appropriate notation.

Calculate the test statistic and give the probability statement for the test statistic and the p-value.

\mu = 145

\sigma = 25

n = 150

\bar{x} = You have not provided sample mean

H0: \mu = 145

H1: \mu > 145

z = (\bar{x} - 145)/25/LC

Calculate p-value from this z value using z-table and if p-value < 0.01 then reject H0 otherwise don't.

I would have done the calculations by myself but as you have not given the value of \bar{x} (sample mean) I couldn't. As I thought this question can be easily solved if you input the \bar{x} value in the method given above thus I have given you this template so that you can solve it. I hope you will.
