For clarification, What structural variations can Teflon be used for. For example linear, branched, networked. and then what tacticities can it be variated with? and then with those provided variations, what things are then made out of those variations?

Teflon is an example of a linear polymer.

And there are mostly six common types of teflon coating.

Teflon PTFE

• short for poly tetra fluoroethylene
• consists of a primer and a top coat
• can handle highest temperatures upto 500˚F
• very low coefficient of friction
• resistant to abrasions.
• Applications : Fuel filters, Heat exchangers, Cryogenic, Aerospace, Carburetor shafts

Teflon FEP

• Fluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer
• Non-porous
• This coating melts and flows.
• Applications : Plastic moulds, food processing, rocket engines, textile dry cans, Heat seal bars

Teflon PFA

• Perfluoroalkoxy
• can handle highest temperatures upto 500˚F
• tougher than FEP and PTFE.
• Thickness upto 1000 micrometers
• Chemical resistance
• Applications : Chemical impellers, Mixing tanks, Valves, Pumps, Laundry dryers, High temperature moulds

Tefel ETFE

• strong corrosion protection across temperature ranges
• Toughest of fluoroplastics
• can be applied at film builds upto 1000 micrometers.
• Applications : Tank linings, Pumps, impellers, flangers, conveyer chutes, electrical insulators, exhaust ducts.

Teflon one coat

• Blended coating and very tough
• Extremely resistant to abrasions
• work with smooth metal surfaces
• Applications : Engineer parts, fan blades, Garden tools, waffle irons, conveyors, automotive fasteners, fuel injectors, saw blades.

Teflon Dry Lubricant

• can help in situations that need high pressure and velocities.
• Applications : Copiers, Printers, Commercial food.
