Charts provide a visual representation of the data selected and often are a needed element to help others understand the data from a new perspective. The Column Chart

Column Chart are used for comparison between data using Vertical Bars.A clustered Column chart is used in comparing multiple datas.

The above Column Chart depicts the Comparison of Sales of Various Regions i.e East , West, North, and South. The Comparison is made between the years 2012,2013 and 2014 of different regions. In conclusion we can conclude that there is a Overall growth in the sales of all the regions. In a Column Chart, the vertical axis (Y-axis) always displays number as in the above chart it depicts the Turnovers in numbers, and the horizontal axis (X-axis) displays the other category as in the above case it depicts the regions and the total. And by default, Excel will always plot the category that contains the major entries on the horizontal axis (X-axis). The Above is a Clustered Column chart ,One variation of the above  chart type is the Stacked Column Chart. In a Stacked Column Chart, the data points are "stacked" instead of "clustered." This chart type lets us see the percentage of the data also along with this the column charts are available in 3d also..
