If 'A' as spacer and nucleotide T, C and G are in triplets then number of codons would be available are :

Number of codons= (number of nucleotide) 3

For T, C and G (since no. of nucleotide are 3 )= 33 = 27.

For A, T, C and G ( since no. of nucleotide are 4)= 43 = 64.
