The ionic compounds has highest melting point . The stronger the charge higher will be the electrostatic attraction and higher will be the melting point . In given problem the charges are same in all the compound. So we should take other factors into account . The smaller the size of ion the higher will be the extent of attraction forces and higher will be the melting point . In the given problem MgF2 and BaCl2 have smaller size of cation and anion. in SrF2 the size of cation is large . the size of anion F- Is smaller in MgF2 and experience heigher nuclear attraction hence will have highest melting point.

The overall order of melting point will be

MgF2> BaCl2>SrF2>SrCl2>SrI2
