a) Histones are basic proteins that makeup about half the mass of chromatin.

b) Histones grip the DNA double helix like a fist, with the DNA in the center.

c) Formation of the nucleosome structure is the only condensing step in chromosomal DNA.

d) All of the above

II- True or False

Answer #1

Sol-1) A) Histones are basic proteins that makeup about half the mass of chromatin.

Explanation for option B : During the packaging of chromosomal DNA, DNA double helix is not present in the core of histone but it is always wrapped around histones protein and this leads to a conclusion that option B is wrong.

Explanation for option C : Formation of the nucleosome is a part of condensation of DNA. The formed nucleosomes are further packaged together via histone 1 and form chromatin fibre. So technically this option is also wrong.

Sol-2) False

They share amino acid sequence homology and core structural similarities.

Sol-3) C) SSB protein stabilizes single stranded regions

EXAMPLE: ANSWER 12 :- From the above mentioned data, the significance of ATP molecule in the event progression is seen although taking into consideration that the process is carried out in an in-vitro manner, the possibility of transcription occuring decreases taking into consideration the errors associated with the changes in certain conditions associated with the experimental setup and hence it becomes difficult to identify if there is actual phosphorylation occuring of the nucleosomal histone proteins. This in other terms cannot...

Answers: A common ancestor of two species on evolutionary trees can be found at the point where the two branches meet. Humans evolved from Neanderthals about 50,000 years ago. Mitochondrial DNA is not particularly useful when trying to determine the movement pattern of humans historically across the globe. Scientists can estimate when species diverged from a common ancestor by comparing their Karyotypes. We...
