Answer #1

Electrical system design is the systemically design of electrical systems. Electrical systems are groups of electrical components connected to carry out some operation. Often the systems are combined with other systems and output . They might be subsystems of larger systems and have subsystems of their own. This design consists of step by step planning to build up a complete electrical set up. The process goes as follows.

First the important thing is design consideration of electrical installations and estimating total power loads. For example, there can be different types of voltage loads. Low, Medium, High and extra high. Besides that, there are different distribution systems also. It can be single phase supply using 2 wire system, three phase ac supply using 3 wire system or three phase neutral using 4 wire system. DC supply is also be under consideration.

Then the plan of spaces for electric equipment is taken under consideration. Energy consumption analysis is also done. Supply voltage differs from space to space, so specific supply voltage has to be chosen according to convention. Current carried by electrical power distribution network varies at different times of a day which leads to voltage loss at cables in different amount. So, this fluctuation should have a specific record. The tolerance level of fluctuation may not vary above a particular level.

Then choosing the wire is also important part. Such as the conductors design, insulator quality, ground separation, are taken into consideration. Conductors consist of numbers of conducting material like Cu, Ai wires and they are placed together like a rope and they make the flexible cable. Cable selection is done on basis of cable rating. According to usage the cable is selected as it has been tested if the cable can withstand the temperature of system, it can carry the maximum amount of current without damage of any other part, specially insulator.

This is also taken into consideration that which kind of motor should be chosen. As there are various kinds of motors out there as brushless DC, brushed DC, stepper motor, servo motor etc. They have separate applications and used according to application requirement.

It is important parameter to choose DVL or not DVL. DVL gives accurate position information, but it is really costly. DVL is not that susceptible to drift.

Between custom and off the shelf controllers, off shelf controller is reliable enough, but for custom it is always tunable to required set up. So it has more complex design as well.

The technical designers are also responsible for designing a system as the architect the electrical system drawing. The space, location of the base and panel size have to be considered and kept in mind. Panel schedules and panel loads estimation are also done before designing the whole thing.

Like in super-fast electrical car the motor has to be chosen as induction motor. It has two main parts, stator and rotor. Three phase ac power input is given to stator. AC then produces 4 pole magnetic field. The speed depends on frequency of AC power supply. Now this also requires to check the internal design of electric system inside the car. How much battery is used instead of high battery pack to guaranty the cooling effect.
