1. The joint motion in the right hip is - FLEXION.

The hip joint is the articulation of the acetabulum of the pelvis and the head of the femur. It is a diarthrodial joint. The hip joint has following motion:

a. Flexion/Extension (sagittal plane)

b. Abduction/Adduction (frontal plane)

c. Medial /Lateral rotation (transverse plane).

Range of motion :

Flexion : 0-120 degree

Extension : 0-20 degree

Abduction : 0-45 degree

Adduction : 0-25 degree

2. The joint motion in the left knee is FLEXION.

The largest and the most complicated joint in the body is the knee joint. It is a synovial joint(modified hinge joint).

a. Tibiofemoral joint : between femur and tibia

b. Patellofemoral joint : between femur and patella.

Movements and range of motion:

Flexion : 120-150 degree

Extension : 5-10 degree

Internal rotation : 10 degree

External rotation : 30-40 degree
