Answer #1

Answer:

Given that:

If a gambler places a bet on the number 7 in roulette, he or she has a 1/38 probability of winning.

Here X ~ Binomial(n = 170, p=2)

If p= 38 then  q=1-p=1-

Mean = np

  = 170*

  = 4.4736

Value of mean = 4.4736

Standard deviation = \sqrt{npq}

V170*

= 2.0871

Standard deviation = 2.0871
