In Netherland Dwarf rabbits, dwarf size is determined by allele N, and normal-size by allele n. Unfortunately, the NN bunnies are stillborn (dead at birth).

  1. Dwarf x normal size what % of the bunnies survive?

Answer #1

It is given that dwarf size of rabbit is encoded by N allele. and the normal size is encoded by n allele.

Here NN and Nn are dwarf in size and nn are of normal size.

But NN will die. This suggests that NN are found in lethal conditions.

Dwarf (Nn) × Normal (nn)

punnet square :

gametes N n
n Nn ( dwarf) nn ( normal)

100% of bonnies are survived because there is not found any NN genotype.

e is the right answer.

------

The percentage of dearf bonnies is (1/2) ×100=50%

c is the right answer.

----

Dwarf ( Nn) × dwarf ( Nn)

punnet square:

gametes N n
N NN( dwarf) die Nn ( dwarf) survive
n Nn( dwarf) survive Nn ( normal) survive

percentage of bonnies survives are (3/4) ×100=75%

d is the right answer.

    D. 25% orme condition. The male is XX and the female is XY. But X-linked genes have the same effects in mugwumps as in humans. A recessive X-linked allele "n" produces red-green color blindness.
