. What do you think, do we really need immunization
(vaccination) during our young ages (0-18 years old)? If yes, why?
If not, why?
Yes, it is important to get vaccinated at early age to ensure good health during childhood as well as in later stages of life.
Vaccination is the process of introduction of vaccines ( the agents that stimulate the antibodies) to human body. Vaccination insert pathogenic protein or toxin or attenuated pathogens in human body to initiate the immune response. Presence of antigen in body stimulates formation of antibodies against the pathogen being inserted and respective memory cell. The memory cells are long lived and generate quicker and stronger response upon any future encounter with same pathogen. This makes the person immune to the disease for which he is being vaccinated.
Vaccination is done at early ages since children have less developed immune system and are more prone to infection. Also, formation of memory cells against pathogens at early stages of life ensures protection from the disease. vaccination at early stages prevent occurrence of diseases in children which otherwise could hamper their growth and development and/or even cause serious fatal damages.
