One of the most important detrimental effects of long-term unemployment is the financial hardships and the issues that would arise from it such as, paying the rent, paying the school fees, paying for the food etc. Thus, financial hardships would lead one to the second effect which is more psychological thus, would make one emotionally unstable and would cause relationship issues. This would further deteriorate one’s physical health because of lack of healthy habits and the chances of them using drug related issues. Finally, they would struggle hard to maintain social relationship as they would feel helpless. Lack of social connections would make things worse as they wouldn’t have any moral and emotional support.
