Decrease in blood pressure or sympathetic nerves stimulates juxtaglomerular cells > renin is released and converts angiotensinogen to angiotensin I > angiotensin I is converted to angiotensin II > this substance acts as a vasoconstrictor and stimulates the aldosterone > under influence of this hormone Na+ and H2O reasbsorption occurs > increased blood volume raises blood pressure.

2) Joyce's decreased urinary output (12 ml/hour) is due to loss of neuronal control on the micturition process during stress condition.
