What theory is most likely being used by the consultant and why

During 1800, the most popular theory for motivating the manpower was instinct theory which indicates that any living being will be motivated to perform all those activities which are necessary for its survival. For a human, different types of factors which can be used in instinct theory of motivations are fear, anger, shame, play, shyness, love, and modesty.

The manager can use the fear of firing the employee if he or she does not achieve his or her production target.

At this point in time, describe the likely relationship between the workers and supervisors

During 1800, the relationship between the employees and supervisors will be more of a master and servant as supervisors would have been threatening the employees about firing from the job and heir main focus would be on fulfilling the production target. On the other hand, employees were forced to work under unhygienic factors with no human relations as they just want to survive in their jobs.

How do factory owners likely view workers at this point in time?

At this time, workers must have been viewed jus as a means of ensuring the production level, a part of liabilities as the owners have to pay for their salaries. The workers must be treated as another machine or piece of equipment
