Answer #1

1. Pioneer species are different for primary succession as well as secondary succession.

Primary succession occurs in an area that has not been preoccupied earlier by any organisms. The very first organisms that appear in areas of primary succession are known as pioneer species. Usually it includes mosses and lichens.

Secondary succession occurs in an area that have been disturbed earlier by a natural or man made calamity. It includes area damaged by floods, storms, cyclones or barren lands etc. Usually the species of secondary succession includes Raspberry, Heaths etc.

2. The term climax community or climatic climax community is a common unique term which is used for all the biological community including plants, animals, fungi which remains stable and exist in balance with each other and with the environment.

So, the term climax community mean same for all the ecosystems.

3. Vegetation increases the permeability of the soil to rainwater and thus decreases runoff. Removing vegetation will increase the rate of surface erosion.
