RNA editing

RNA processing involves three main processes by which primary RNA transcription is converted into mature RNA transcript which is ready to under to go translation.

The first process is splicing which is the removal of introns and joining of exons.

The second is addition of methyl guanosine cap at 5 prime end of messenger RNA.

The third is addition of poly adenine residues at 3 Prime end of messenger RNA.

RNA editing occurs after RNA Processing which leads to change in base pairs of RNA.
