E = Vab = 61 V

B)

A is at higher potential because there is no voltage drop of I1R1, I1 is current through R1

C)

E = Vcd = 61 V

D)

Voltage increases from b to a, so it must drop through inductor from C to d. So c is at the higher potential.

E)

I2 = 61/21 = 2.9 A

I1 = - 2.9 A

Vab = I1R1 = - 2.9 x 40 = - 116.19 V

F)

B is at higher potential

G)

Vcd = - 116.19 - 61 = - 177.19 V

D is at higher potential
