1) Mostly in manufacturing and construction industries uses a snap head rivets and Snap head rivets are used mainly where permanent joint and strong joint is required and it's also uses where different thickness of plates to be joined.  so that in boiler plate riveting we are using SNAP HEAD RIVETS.

2) Mainly unwins formula is used for determining the size of the rivet. The relationship between size of the rivet hole to plate thickness is"[d=6√t]" where d=diameter of rivet hole and t= thickness of plate
