Scenario 3: HOT HEAD ATHLETE: One of your starters, Julia, on the basketball team has a problem with authority. She is a good player but is constantly complaining about calls made by the officials. In over time against your rival Julia drives to the net and is stripped of the ball by an opposing player. The official does not call a foul and Julia instantly begins complaining, feeling that she was fouled. She starts to mouth off and beating her chest to get the officials attention. Julia is hit with a technical foul. How would you handle Julia's outburst?
first of all julia should be given a glass of water, it can help in bringing down their temper towards a small extend.
she should be calmed down by any sort of breathing techniques which can relax her
the first step is to calm her down, there is no use of speaking anything when a person is mentally disturbed or angered
she should be calmly explained to cool down . someone whom she can manage should be sent to her to talk.
she should talked with care and love or else the chances of being smitten are too high
she should told that speaking in such a manner is what that has led to this technical foul, if she would have been patient all this would not have taken place. she should advised to keep her temper at control or more serious issues can surface.
she should be told to act in a moral way that is expected from a player, beating on the chest and all is such an immoral conduct.
she should be warned that if this actions of her continues. it can lead to expulsion and that she will have to leave to the basket ball team. she should be made to understand that she is a very good player and if she controls her behavior she can be among the best. all her plus points should be focussed here as well since pinpointing only her negatives can only aggravate the problem
