If X is the long run transition matrix then X = [x1 x2]

and X = X.P

solving we have two equations

x1 = 0.3x1 + 0.7x2

x2 = 0.6x1 + 0.4x2

x1 = x2 = 0.5

So, in long run 50% of the hours the system will be in mode A
