Answer #1

a) magnetic potential energy = - mu .B

mu is dipole moment = N*i*A ( -j ) = 6 *1.92 *4.98*10^-3 ( -j)

= 0.0573696 ( -j)

potential energy = - mu .B = -0.0573696 ( -j) . (1.91 i-3.98j -4.06 k) *10^-3

=0.0573696 *-3.98 *10^-3 = -0.000228331008

= -228.33 micro Jule

b) torque = mu XB = 0.0573696 ( -j) X(1.91 i-3.98j -4.06 k) *10^-3

= (0i -0.232920576 j + 0.228331008 k) *10^-3

= 0 i - 232.92 j + 228.33 k micro N*m
