Part 1: What Would You Do? Assume that you were asked to do something or take some course of action within your company that you felt did not align with your professional code of ethics for your field. Assume further that you explained this to your boss, and your boss did not agree with your interpretation of the code. Describe how you would handle this scenario using the five-step decisionmaking process provided in the textbook. Ensure to include your company type and your position in the company. Your response to Part 1 should be at least one page. Part 2: Code Analysis Use the CSU Online Library or the Internet to search for an example of a professional code of ethics for a professional field outside of information technology. Compare and contrast this code with a code for information technology. Identify the strengths and weaknesses of the code designed for a field other than information technology. Be sure to reference the specific ethical approaches (see page 22 in the textbook) that inform your answer. Your response to Part 2 should be at least one paragraph

Ethics are an important part of computer science and also the programming and thus software engineers are expected to show the highest standard of the ethics regarding and involving their work. Thus, ethics are an important part of the work and the work in IT industry or computer research should be ethical always. We all face ethical issues as engineering graduates and also computer science experts and programmers. The ethical issues arise as for when you are asked to do something or take some course of action within your company that you felt did not align with your professional code of ethics for your field. This doesn't feel right, which means there must be something wrong with it. When we further take the matter to our bosses, the did not agree with your interpretation of the code, which literally makes things worse. To get out of this ethical dilemma, we should handle this scenario using the five-step decision-making process as:

a) Recognize the ethical issues - We should recognize the ethical issues and should be sensitive about what is ethical or non-ethical. Also, the decision maker should be analyzing the choices.

b) Factors affecting the decision of the ethical situation should know and each should be given enough weight. Investigation of the relevant facts should be done to understand the decision better.

c) We should also study the choices and then evaluate what is the best way the different approaches to ethical standards and come up to a choice.

d) This step is about making a decision based on the choice we made and then testing out decision. We should test and come to the conclusion that if we implement this solution it will solve the problem or not.

e) Once the decision has been made and also tested then only it can be implemented, making sure that the best method and solution has been implemented in the current scenario and also we must pay close attention to all the stakeholders.
