There are 7 systems which are to be ranked in the order of decreasing entropy of the system.

Before arranging them in order,lets point out certain characteristic dependance of entropy of a system:

1, The more the number of states present in the system,the more the entropy.

2,Lesser the temperature of the gas,lesser is the entropy.

3,Liquid form is a more ordered phase than gas and hence the entropy is less for liquid.

4,The more the volume,the more different states are possible.Thus more volume has more entropy.

From 1,we can see that carbon disulfide has more number of atoms present than oxygen and radon and many states are possible.Thus,it has the greatest entropy among the other systems.

Also oxygen pair with other atom of oxygen to form a stable bond whereas radon move around single.Thus oxygen system comes second.

From 4, we see that system having 1 mole has more entropy than system having half entropy.

The system having 40L of argon has more entropy than system with 20L. Hence they both are placed in order 3 and 4 respectively.

From 2, we know that radon system at 273k has more entropy than system at 100K.

From 3,the liquid phase of radon is having the least entropy.

Hence the order is as below;

1, 1 mol of carbon disulfide at 273k and 40L

2,1 mol of oxygen gas at 273k and 20L

3, 1 mol of radon gas at 273K at 40L

4,1 mol of radon gas at 273K at 20L

5,1/2 mol of radon gas at 273K at 20L

6, 1/2 mol of radon gas at 100K at 20L

7, 1/2 mol of liquid radon gas at 100K
